NOTES
-
In Single mode, you can play the Lower section with an external device (keyboard, sequencer, computer)
connected to the [MIDI IN] port, but you can't control the sound with the drawbars of the Legend Solo. The Lower
section sound is initially adjusted based on the position of the drawbars of Set B when powering up the
instrument. To change the sound of the Lower section in real time, see the fourth note here.
In Split mode, you can also play the Lower section with an external device (keyboard, sequencer, computer)
-
connected to the [MIDI IN] port.
-
In Double mode, the notes received from the [MIDI IN] port are transposed according to the transposition
eventually set and are retransmitted to the [MIDI OUT] port so that they can also be played with external sound
generators.
-
In Single, Split and Double mode, you can control the Lower section drawbars with an external device that can
transmit programmable MIDI control messages (eg with sliders or potentiometers).
All information about the MIDI channels and MIDI messages received by the Legend Solo are listed in the "MIDI
-
Informations" section.
5.1 VIBRATO OR CHORUS
In the VIBRATO/CHORUS section of the front panel there are three controls designed to apply the desired
effect (Vibrato or Chorus) to the sound. The Vibrato cyclically modulates the pitch of the signal thus adding
"spatiality" and "full-body" to the sound. Chorus adds the direct signal to the modulated signal. As a result, it
affects both the signal's tuning and amplitude.
By pressing the [VIBRATO/CHORUS UPPER] button you can apply the
Vibrato/Chorus effect to the Upper section. With [VIBRATO/ CHORUS
LOWER] you can add the effect to the Lower section and pedal.
The six-position knob [VIBRATO AND CHORUS] allows you to select one of
the three effects of Vibrato (V1-V2-V3) or one of the three Chorus (C1-C2-C3)
effects, which differ by modulation depths.
5.2 REVERB
Reverb originates from the sum of the various acoustic reflections produced by a sound in a natural
environment. In the original electromagnetic organs, the reverb was simulated by means of a special device
containing one or more springs. The Reverb effect of the Legend Solo allows you to simulate a natural reverb
and the reverb characteristic the electromechanical organ.
Through the [REVERB] potentiometer on the front panel you can adjust the reverb level.
Select the reverb type with the [REVERB HALL/SPRING] button. In HALL mode the led is switched
off. This reverb simulates a closed room. In SPRING mode the led is on; this mode simulates the
typical spring reverb.
It is also possible to set the position of the Reverb effect in the signal chain with respect to the Rotary effect.
Simultaneously pressing the [TRANSPOSE SELECT] and the G4 key, POST mode is selected, through which
the Reverb is added after the Rotary effect. Press [TRANSPOSE SELECT] and the A4 key to select PRE mode
so that the reverberation is applied before the Rotary simulation.
NB
Using a rotary speaker connected to the connector [ROTARY SPEAKER] on the rear panel (see point 1 of par. 3.2), in
order to have the internal reverb effect, it is necessary to set the REVERB in PRE mode
