4.3 PERCUSSION
The percussion, typical feature of electromechanical organs, provides a
replication of a harmonic that is added to those set through drawbars, with a
rapid attack and an exponential decay. On the original instrument, however, the
percussion is only generated on the upper manual, only if the drawbars Set B is
selected and the sound produced by the drawbar 1' is eliminated when the
percussion is activated. The Legend Solo also reproduces these features
because, in Single mode, the drawbars Set B must be selected, while in Split
and Double the percussion only sounds in the Upper section.
To activate the percussion, use the tab [PERCUSSION ON/OFF] button of the front panel.
Percussion volume can be adjusted through the [PERCUSSION SOFT/NORM] button. In NORMAL mode (led
off) volume is set through the potentiometer [PERCUSSION VOLUME]. In SOFT mode (led on) the volume is
decreased. The potentiometer mentioned above can also be used to finely adjust the maximum volume of the
percussion.

Select the percussion decay time through the [PERCUSSION DECAY SLOW/FAST] button. In SLOW mode (led
off) the decay time is set by the [PERCUSSION DECAY] potentiometer. In FAST mode (led on) the decay time
is shorter. The potentiometer mentioned above can be used for fine adjustment of the maximum percussion
decay time.

Select the percussion harmonic through the [PERCUSSION 2nd/3rd] button. In SECOND mode (led off) the
harmonic used by the percussion in the second (equivalent to a 4 'register). In THIRD (led on) the percussion
harmonic is a third (equivalent to a 2 2/3' register).
4.4 INTERNAL NOISES SIMULATION
The electromechanical organ sound is not only characterized by tonewheels, drawbars and percussion, but
also other noises which were initially considered flaws but that have become over time distinctive features of
this type of instrument. One of these is the click (or Keyclick) generated at the attack of the note by the switch
of each key. Another fault that became part of the sound is the noise generated by the extreme proximity of the
audio wiring (Crosstalk), where each cable interfered with the others. Therefore, when a key was pressed,
many other notes played too, but at a much lower volume.
In order to make the sound of Legend Solo as faithful as possible to the original
electromechanical counterpart, you can add the Keyclick effect and adjust its volume
through the [K.CLICK] potentiometer.
The [XTALK] potentiometer adjusts the level of the noise generated by wiring interference.
