6.10 Flywheel

6.10.1 To remove the flywheel
1. Remove the clutch cover.
2. Remove the clutch housing.
3. Remove the starter cover. Refer to
the starter unit on page 14 .
4. Remove the spark plug. Refer to
spark plug cable on page 19 .
5. Remove the clutch. Refer to
centrifugal clutch on page 25 .
6. Remove the 2 screws and remove the ignition
module.
7. Put the piston stop in the spark plug hole. Remove
the nut that holds the flywheel.

8. Remove the flywheel from the crankcase with a
flywheel removal tool.
6.10.2 To clean and examine the flywheel
Examine the flywheel for cracks and damage.
Make sure that the key in the flywheel and keyway
are not damaged.
Clean the crankshaft from grease and oil.
6.10.3 To install the flywheel
1. Tighten the nut, refer to

flywheel on the crankshaft.
