9. Troubleshooting

The unit does not
operate after
power on
The fan motor doesn't
operate after power
on
The unit does
not operate.

Fuse is burnt out, power cord is not
well plugged, there is no power supplied
for socket or wire inside the unit is loose.
Incorrect wiring
Fan capacitor has open circuit or
short circuit.
Winding of motor has open or short
circuit, or temperature limiter is broken
due to overheating.
Power failure or the fuse is burnt out.
Supply voltage is too low.
On-off button has malfunction.
Motor of compressor is burnt out.
Compressor has malfunction.
Failure of crystal oscillator or
reset circuit.
Check if there is power supplied for the socket of
the unit, and then check if the plug and socket
contact well. At last check if the wire inside the
unit is correct.
Re-wiring
Replace capacitor of fan
Replace motor or temperature limiter
Check if there is power failure, or if
socket is good, or if the plug is loose.
Repair socket and replace the
damaged fuse.
If the voltage of power supply is 10%
lower than the rated voltage, find out
the cause.
Press the on-off button. Check if it is in
conducting state. If it is not conducted or
not conducted well, replace the button
with the same model .
If winding of motor of completely
hermetic compressor has short circuit,
or open circuit, replace the
compressor.
Knocking the shell of compressor with
rubber stick may make the
compressor operate. If it doesn't work,
replace the compressor.
Replace components with failure.
