The Mediation Server Module ships with a battery installed. The typical life expectancy of the
170 mAh battery (VARTA CR2025) is 5–6 years assuming an average "on" time of 8 hours for
each working day at an operating temperature of 30°C. However, this value varies considerably
because the life expectancy is dependent on the operating temperature and the standby time
(shutdown time) of the system in which the battery operates. To ensure that the lifetime of the
battery is not exceeded, Avaya recommends that you exchange the battery every 4–5 years.
