Installing or removing the internal SCIM module on the
Secure Router 2330
Use the instructions in this section to install, remove, or replace the internal SCIM module on
the Secure Router 2330. This internal module is not hot swappable.
If you ordered the SCIM module with your Secure Router 2330, the Secure Router ships with
the SCIM module installed. The estimated average time to install the internal SCIM module is
fifteen minutes.
Caution:
Do not open the Secure Router 2330 top cover while the unit is powered.

Installing the internal SCIM module

Use the procedure in this section to install an internal SCIM module. If you are replacing a

Prerequisites
• Ensure you have a SCIM module ready to install before opening the chassis top cover.
• Ensure you have a Phillips #1 screwdriver.
• Ensure the Secure Router 2330 is powered off.
