Your computer may have a volume control in up to three
different locations:
On one of the speakers
Your Aptiva type 2165 has two internal speakers inside
the system unit. There are no volume controls on your
speakers.
In the multimedia software that came with your system
This is the only control that will affect the volume of the
internal speakers on your Aptiva 2165 system.
On the CD-ROM drive at the front of the system unit
Your system may not have this volume control. If your
system has this control, it will only control the
headphone volume if the headphones are plugged into
the CD-ROM drive front panel jack. This control has no
effect on the speakers.
If you add external speakers to your system, the standard
internal speakers are automatically disabled. Multimedia
software controls the volume for external speakers.
The control you use depends on whether you are listening to
sound through the speakers or the headphones.
