NOTE:
Before you connect the PeakTech 1200 with your PC it is needed to install the software included all
USB-driver.
Installation of the software
The installation of the software is needed to operate the PeakTech 1200 oscilloscope in connection with the
PC.
To install the Interface-Program and USB-driver, please follow below procedure:
1.
Start Windows (98/2000/XP or VISTA)
2.
Insert the provided software-CD into your CD/DVD-drive
3.
Locate the CD/DVD-ROM drive from the windows, double click the drive letter to display the root
folder of the PeakTech-CD
4.
Double click the file "SETUP.EXE"
5.
Follow the on-screen installation instructions until the installation is finished.
6.
Connect the PeakTech 1200 to the USB-port of your PC
7.
Windows will find a new hardware and wants to install the corresponding USB-driver, which you will
find in the installation folder of the software.
8.
After installation of the USB-driver you start the DS_WAVE-software. In the START-menu of
windows there would create a new folder of DS_WAVE to start and uninstall the software.
41. Statutory Notification about the Battery Regulations
The delivery of many devices includes batteries, which for example serve to operate the remote control. There
also could be batteries or accumulators built into the device itself. In connection with the sale of these batteries
or accumulators, we are obliged under the Battery Regulations to notify our customers of the following:
Please dispose of old batteries at a council collection point or return them to a local shop at no cost. The
disposal in domestic refuse is strictly forbidden according to the Battery Regulations. You can return used
batteries obtained from us at no charge at the address on the last side in this manual or by posting with
sufficient stamps.
You can obtain further information about the Battery Regulations from the Bundesministerium für Umwelt,
Naturschutz und Reaktorsicherheit (Federal Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation and Reactor
Safety).
Batteries, which contain harmful substances, are marked with the symbol of a
crossed-out waste bin, similar to the illustration shown left. Under the waste bin
symbol is the chemical symbol for the harmful substance, e.g. „Cd" for cadmium,
„Pb" stands for lead and „Hg" for mercury.
