Connecting the power supply
CAUTION
Safety isolation
Use only power supply units with safety isolation complying with IEC 60364-4-41 or
HD 384.04.41 (VDE 0100, Part 410), for example according to the PELV standard, for the
24 VDC supply.
The supply voltage must be within the specified voltage range. Incorrect voltage might
result in damage to the device.
For floating system design:
Connect the connection for GND 24 V from the 24 V power supply output to equipotential
bonding for uniform reference potential. For this purpose, choose a connecting point that is
as close as possible to the center.

Connecting the USB device

Introduction
The MS Windows CE 5.0 operating system installed on the Multi Panel includes drivers for
USB devices. From MP 277, you can therefore connect the following devices to the
Industrial USB Hub 4:
● USB memory stick
● USB printer
● USB keyboard
● USB mouse
For PCs, there are no operating system related restrictions.
The USB devices are normally connected with a USB cable to the Industrial USB Hub 4.
Small USB devices such as memory sticks can also be plugged in directly at the
Industrial USB Hub 4.
