10.13.3 The Access Control Reader

NOTE: The Access Reader cable must be kept separate from the lock supply connections.
The captive cable from the Access Reader head may be extended to a maximum of 100 metres. It
is recommended that you use twisted pair cable. If a screen is present, this should be terminated a
mains earth at the Door Station only.
Care should be taken to ensure that there is no earth leakage on this cable.
