6. Wait for the ROM prompt (ok>).
7. Toggle off the main power switches.

Emergency Shutdown

If there is a fire or another emergency, you can limit damage to the MPS by shutting down the
system as soon as possible.
Shut down the MPS in an Emergency
1. log on as root.
a. From any command line enter su.
b. Enter the root password (*****).
2. Enter halt. This command terminates all running programs and halts the CPU.
3. Wait for the ROM prompt (ok>).
4. Turn off the main power switches.
5. Unplug the MPS.
If the situation does not allow you to complete all of the preceding procedure (it can take up to 5
minutes), you can simply unplug the MPS without damaging the system.

Starting and Stopping from the Command Line

To Stop All Applications

1. Log on as root.
2. Run the following command: /etc/rc3.d/S20vps.startup stop
3. Wait for SRP to shut down.

To Start the system

1. Log on as root.
2. Run the following command: /etc/rc3.d/S20vps.startup start
