The TMS connects to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) through a USOC RJ48M 50-
pin connector located on the front panel of each DCC. This interface provides capacity for up to
eight T1 or E1 spans. The digital interface connections for span/line 1 are shown in the following
illustration. Connections for all spans are listed in the following table.
