Opening a sign
How to open a sign from the back
Ordinary, controller board, and communication cubes (see "Internal view" on page 8) are all opened from the
back in the same way
1.
Remove power from the sign.
2.
Use a 5/32-inch hex tool to loosen the two screws on the back a cube:
Loosen these two screws
with a 5/32-inch hex tool.

Open the cube door:

WARNING
Hazardous voltage.
Contact with high voltage

Always disconnect power to

Open a sign door slowly. Otherwise
some of the cables attached to the
door may snap off.
There are three types of sign cubes
(see "Internal view" on page 8):
• ordinary
• controller (There is only one of
these in a sign.)
• communication (There is only one
of these in a sign.)
Shown on the left is a sign's
controller cube.
