Disk Driyes and Tape CaIUidae Unit
INTRODUCTION
This section will cover the standard shunting, cabling and basic specifications of the
floppy, Winchester, and tape drives used in the 8000 Series systems.
The floppy drives used in 5000 Series systems are TEAC SY4

half width drives.
The
Winchester drive used is one of the Rodime RO-200 Series S" drives.
You may also have
a stand-alone tape cartridge unit, which is manufactured by Digidata.

TEAC EO-SS ELOPPY PISK ORIyE
The TEAC floppy disk drives are storage devices which use a standard removable

flexible diskette as a storage medium.
They are capable of supporting either single density format (EM), or double-
density format (MEM) and double sided recording.
The TEAC ED-SSE has 96
tracks per inch; the ED-SSB has 48 tracks per inch.
