Visual Indicators

The intended operator's position for correctly perceiving a visual signal and its priority is 1 meter
(3.3 feet).
The following table describes conditions and visual indicators.
Condition
Pulse Waveform Signal is
inadequate
Sensor Fault (i.e., sensor
disconnect, failure, or
incompatibility with the monitor)
Inadequate Signal (sensor
misalignment, ambient light, nail
polish/artificial nails, etc.)
Inadequate SpO or pulse rate

Visual Indication
• Pulse Quality LED blinks red
• Pulse Quality LED blank
• Dash (-) appears in the leftmost position of the SpO
display
• SpO and Pulse Rate numeric displays freeze for

• After 10 seconds a dash (-) replaces the SpO
Pulse Rate numeric displays.
