6.3 Processing eConfirmation Mail with a WJS Scale

Hasler WJS scales process eConfirmation tracking records in
two modes of operation: Scale mode and Productive mode.
In Scale mode, you process one piece of mail at a time.
In Productive mode, you can use the scanner option and you can
also process multiple pieces of mail. (See section Processing E-
Services in Productive mode))
Scale mode is the default mode set up on your scale.
To change to Productive mode, press the Functions button and
use the display menu keys to select: More / Set-up / Super /
More / E-con.
At this stage you are offered two choices: AllSM (for All Scale
Mode) and Prod M (for Productive Mode). Select the desired
mode and wait for the scale to display a message.
Power Off the scale and then back On. The scale is now in the
desired mode. You do not need to make any special setting on
your mailing machine.
In Scale mode, you put one mailing item on the scale and
generate one tape at a time.
- Affix an eDelivery Confirmation label, an eSignature Confirmation
- Check that the scale shows a zero weight reading with nothing on
- Place the parcel on the scale.
