11.16 Switching / Querying of the Outputs / Activate Inputs
via DTMF
The outputs at the INSYS Modem 56k AC/DC 4.2 can be switched via the DTMF
tones of a conventional telephone. The inputs can also be queried via DTMF tones.
The input states as well as the responses of the switching processes will be trans-
formed acoustically into tone sequences of well differentiated high and low tones.
Configuration with HSComm
To switch the DTMF on, activate the checkbox "DTMF functions active"
on the tab "Modem" in the window "DTMF Settings". (Page 36, Figure 7:
HSComm Modem - Modem, Position 22).

To change the PIN, the old PIN from the
INSYS Modem 56k AC/DC 4.2 must be
queried, before a new PIN can be entered.
The default setting for the DTMF PIN is
"0000". Immediately after it has been
changed, the PIN will be stored in the
permanent memory of the INSYS Modem
56k AC/DC 4.2.
