E G, g, F, f (Cursor control) buttons (12, 13, 14,
17)
Use these buttons to increase or decrease a value or
level shown on the menu, or to scroll up and down
through a menu.
F EXEC button (11, 17)
Press this button to carry out cleaning or cancel the
error status after solving the problem.

PRINT button (10)
Press this button to print the image data stored in
the memory of the printer again.
H ! POWER switch (10, 17)
Press to turn the printer on or off.
I EJECT TRAY button (9, 21)
Press this button to eject the paper tray.
J Paper output slot (9, 21)
Printed pages (or printouts) are ejected here.
K Paper tray (9, 21)
Load paper or film into this tray. Also, ejected
printed pages are accumulated on the cover of this
tray.
L Remaining paper confirmation window
You can confirm the amount of paper remaining in
the paper tray here.
M Maintenance door (17)
Open this door when cleaning the thermal head.

Location and Function of Parts and Controls

Rear

A PARALLEL DATA (IEEE1284) connector
(Amphenol 36-pin) (8)
Used to connect a computer and so on via the
parallel interface, using the parallel interface cable.
(not supplied)
B Special connector
Currently, this connector is not used. It is reserved
for future use.
C Cable stopper
Fixes the interface cable to prevent it from being
disconnected.
D Fan cover (18)
Ventilation holes are located under this fan cover
which is provided to prevent the printer from
overheating.
E
Equipotential ground terminal
Used to connect to the equipotential plug to bring
the various parts of a system to the same potential.
See "Important safeguards/notices for use in the
medical environments" on page 2.
F - AC IN connector (8)
Used to connect the unit to a wall outlet, using the
AC power cord.
Refer to "Warning on power connection" on page 3
and "Warning on power connection for medical
use" on page 3.
