Adjusting the Throttle Control

1. Speed control lever
Diesel Engine: Adjustments
2. High speed screw
Proper throttle operation is dependent upon proper adjustment of the throttle
control. Ensure that the throttle control is operating properly.
1. Move the remote throttle control lever to the F
2. Check the position of speed control lever on the engine fuel injection pump.
The speed control lever must be contacting the high speed screw when the
throttle control lever is in the F
3. If necessary, the throttle control can be adjusted by loosening the cable
clamp screw and positioning the control cable until the speed control lever
contacts the high speed screw.
