Description
a)
A time code or user bits preset
command was received with recording
paused.
A command to switch video or audio
signals was received during recording.
A command to switch audio channels
was received during recording.
Description
a)
Normal recording is not possible
because of a disc defect.
A 525 system SDI signal was input with
this unit in 625 line mode (PAL system)
and with "SDI" selected with the VIDEO
INPUT SEL button.
A 625 system SDI signal was input with
this unit in 525(U) or 525(J) line mode
(NTSC system) and with "SDI" selected
with the VIDEO INPUT SEL button.
An editing operation was attempted on a
recorded disc, when one of the following
audio settings differed from the settings
of this unit.
• Number of quantizing bits and
recording channels
• Handling of digital audio signals (audio
or non-audio)
An edit preset was attempted on one
channel in an audio channel pair (CH1/2,
CH3/4, CH5/6, CH7/8) when digital
audio signals were set to non-audio.
The playback system and recording
system are not synchronized.
A sync error between encoder and input
signal occurred during recording.
An audio/video phase error occurred
during playback.
A memory write error occurred.
Playback data in memory was lost, and
playback stopped.
Action
Try the operation again after stopping
recording.
Action
Use another disc.
You can check the state of a disc by
checking playback condition marks (see
page 44).
Input a 625 system SDI signal.
Input a 525 system SDI signal.
To edit this disc, change the following
settings.
• Maintenance menu item "AUDIO
CONFIG" – "DATA LENGTH"
• Maintenance menu item "AUDIO
CONFIG" – "NON-AUDIO INPUT"
See 8-4-2 "Maintenance Menu Operations"
(page 126) about how to make these
settings.
Insert editing with non-audio signals must
be done on a channel pair. To do insert
editing with audio signals on a single
channel, set maintenance menu item
"AUDIO CONFIG" - "NON-AUDIO INPUT"
to "audio."
See 8-4-2 "Maintenance Menu Operations"
(page 126) about how to make this setting.
Input a reference video signal to the player
and recorder.
