Preface

The R&S SGS is a signal generator intended either for the generation of IQ-
modulated signals or as a pure local oscillator (LO) source.
Optimized for use in automated test equipment (ATE), the instrument offers fast
settling times in an exceptionally small form factor and low power consumption.
The R&S SGS can be equipped optionally with an active electronic step attenua-
tor, a high stability reference oscillator and LO connectors for coupling multiple
generators to a common LO source.
