Building the PC interface consists of:
Connecting your Office PhoneMail system to your PC.
Configuring HyperTerminal as a PC interface to your Office PhoneMail system.

Connecting a HOP Unit to Your PC

If your Office PhoneMail system is a HOP E system, proceed to Section 4.4 on
page 4-3.
To connect the HOP unit to your PC:
1. Locate the service access port on your HOP unit (see Figure 4-1).

2. Connect the DB-9 receptacle of the modem cable described in Section 4.1 on page 4-1 to
the service access port.
3. Connect the other end of the modem cable to a COM port of your PC.
