Terminology

This book uses the following terminology:
The term "Office PhoneMail system" refers to HOP and HOP E systems. If a feature or pro-
cedure refers to the HOP or HOP E system only, it is explicitly stated.
The term "PC interface" refers to the PC interface to your Office PhoneMail system.
The term "PC system administration menu" refers to the menu that can be displayed in the
PC interface.
The term "adaptor cable" refers to the special Siemens adaptor cable described in
Section 3.1 on page 3-1.
The term "Hicom CS" refers to the Hicom CS to which your Office PhoneMail system is
connected. This can be a:
– Hicom 100 E CS Version 2.1F or later, Model 112 and Model 118.
– Hicom 150 E CS OfficeCom Version 1.0 or later.
– Hicom 150 E CS OfficePoint Version 1.0 or later.
– Hicom 150 E CS OfficePro Version 1.0 or later.
