Recording a picture from a tape as a
moving picture
Your camcorder can read moving picture data recorded on a tape and record it as a
moving picture on a "Memory Stick." Your camcorder can also take in moving picture
data through the input connector and record it as a moving picture on a "Memory
Stick."
Before operation
•Insert a recorded tape into your camcorder.
•Insert a "Memory Stick" into your camcorder.
(1) Set the POWER switch to VCR.
(2) Press
again to pause playback at the scene where you want to start recording from.
(3) Press START/STOP. Images and sound are recorded up to the remaining
capacity of the "Memory Stick." For more information about recording time,
see page 121.

[a]: Available recording time on the "Memory Stick" is displayed.
[b]: This indicator is displayed for five seconds after pressing START/STOP. This indicator
is not recorded.
To stop recording
Press START/STOP.
Notes
•Sound recorded in 48 kHz is converted to one in 32 kHz when recording images from
a tape to a "Memory Stick."
•Sound recorded in stereo is converted to monaural sound when recording from a tape.
