Figure 20 Interfaces and connections 7XV5662-0AD01
The following interfaces and connections are located on the device side (Figure 19 and
Figure 17):
RS232 (RS485): The electric Interface is used for asynchronous transmission up to
115.2 kBaud (at RS485 up to 57.6 kBaud). The maximum admissible setting in DIGSI
and the protection device in the case of applications with DIGSI and SIPROTEC protec-
tion devices is 57.6 kBaud. The electric interface is not shielded and therefore, it is only
designed for the data transmission during commissioning. Only the signals Rx, Tx, and
GND are used for data transmission with RS232. It is not necessary to configure the baud
rate on the CC-2M.
E1/T1: For 7XV5662-0AD00, the signals of the E1/T1 interface must be routed to the 4-
pole screw-type terminal (E1/T1) (a rising and clearing core pair each). The screw-type
terminal on the left (S) is used for the connection of the cable shield and is connected to
the housing. For 7XV5662-0AD01, the signals of the E1/T1 interface must be generated
via the BNC connections intended for this. The signals of the E1/T1 interface are
galvanically separated from the other circuits. No additional interval is necessary. The
interval is obtained from the SDH/PDH network via the receive direction and is also used
for sending the data.
FO1/LWL1, FO2/LWL2: The fibre-optic interfaces serve to connect a protection device
or any other device with serial interface. At these interfaces are transferred serial signals.
The optical properties, including the connection method, correspond to those of the FO
module (ST-connector, 820 nm), which must be connected in the protection device as the
active interface (s. Technical Data).
GOK (DR): The device ready contact is routed to three device terminals. The drawing of
the terminals on Figure 21 shows the idle state. Under the following conditions the
DR-Contact gets active:
Internal power supply unit is in proper condition (Power-Fail signal is inactive).
Internal logic is in proper condition (RESET signal is inactive).
The E1/T1 interface is connected and in service. The CC-2M is synchronized.
