Before first use Initial cleaning Wipe the glass-ceramic cooking surface (cuvette) with a damp cloth to remove any residues from the pro- duction process. Attention: Do not use sharp, abrasive clean- ing agents. These could damage the surface. Comply with the instructions in the chapter "Cleaning and care".
Operating the wok cooking surface Never add fat or oil to an already heated wok pan. Risk of burns from being splashed with hot fat! The wok pan heats up very quickly after being switched on. Never heat up an empty wok pan; first add fat or oil or other liquid to the wok pan and then switch the appli- ance on.
Switching on the cooking surface The induction cooking surface has 10 cooking levels („1“ to „9“ and Power-Level „P“). Switch the cooking surface on by setting the desired cooking level with the plus or minus touch controls. – The number of the cooking level appears in the display.
Switching off the cooking surface Switch the cooking surface off by simultaneous activation of the plus and minus touch controls, by activating the ON/OFF touch control. – The cooking level display disappears. Pan detector The induction cooking surface checks at short intervals for the presence of a wok pan.
Safety functions • No switching function takes place if two or more touch controls are activated simultaneously (e.g. through inadvertently placing a dish on the touch controls). After 10 minutes the complete electronics system is switched off. Exception: Switching off the cooking zone touching the plus and minus touch controls simultaneously.
