Appliance description
Function and mode of operation of the induction wok
•
Located under the glass-ceramic cuvette is a cop-
per wire induction coil. This produces electromag-
netic fields which act directly on the base of the
wok pan and heat it up. So with this system the
wok pan base is heated directly, and the glass-
ceramic does not have to be heated first, as with
other types of heating, thus saving time and
energy.
•
As the heat required for cooking is generated
directly in the base of the wok pan, the glass-
ceramic cuvette itself is hardly heated at all; it
receives only the reflected heat from the base of
the wok pan.

If no (rounded bottom) wok pan is standing on the
glass-ceramic cuvette, there in no energy transfer
(heating up). This guarantees safety against inad-
vertent switching on.
Integrated in the glass-ceramic induction wok
is a cooling fan which is automatically acti-
vated according to the appliance tempera-
ture.
Soft switching noises (clicks) can be heard;
these are due to the distribution of the power.
Some cooking vessels have a tendency to
produce operating noise. Likewise, "hum-
ming" can occur at high power levels. This
does not impair the function.
