Cleaning and care
Advantages of cleaning and care
with the induction wok
2
The induction wok requires less cleaning
effort than conventional cooking equipment.
•
As the induction wok reacts more quickly to being
switched down or off, the overcooking of food can
be largely avoided.
•
As temperatures at the glass-ceramic surface are
significantly lower than with traditional cooking
systems, food which gets on to the glass-ceramic
surface does not bake-on as hard.
Glass-ceramic cuvette
1
It is important to clean the glass-ceramic
cuvette after each use.
1
Attention: Never use abrasive cleaning
agents, such as scouring powder or scouring
pads.
Normal cleaning
Always clean the glass-ceramic cuvette when it is
lightly soiled. Use a damp cloth and a little hand
detergent. Afterwards wipe the glass-ceramic cuvette
dry with a clean cloth. No detergent residues must
remain on the surface.
Occasionally the glass-ceramic cuvette should be
cleaned thoroughly. For this use a commercially avail-
able glass-ceramic cleaning agent. Afterwards wash
the glass-ceramic cuvette thoroughly with clean water
and dry it with a clean cloth. No detergent residues
must remain on the surface, as these can damage
the glass-ceramic.
Boiled-over food
First soften the boiled-over food with a damp cloth
and remove the residues with a wooden scraper and
a non-abrasive sponge (Teflon sponge). Afterwards
clean the glass-ceramic cuvette in the normal way.
Baked-on sugar, melted plastics must be removed
immediately, whilst still hot using a wooden scraper,
or the surface of the glass-ceramic cuvette can be
damaged. Clean the glass-ceramic cuvette in the nor-
mal way after it has cooled.
Stains, marks
Lime marks (caused by water boiling over), stains
with a pearly shine and any discolouring with a metal-
lic shimmer must be removed using a commercially
available glass-ceramic cleaning agent. No detergent
residues must remain on the surface, as these can
damage the glass-ceramic.
Wok pan
1
Attention: Never use abrasive cleaning
agents, such as scouring powder or scouring
pads.
Rinse out the wok pan thoroughly after each use.
Soften any baked-on food residues beforehand with
hot water. Then dry the pan off thoroughly and store
in a dry location. The wok pan is suitable for washing
in a dishwasher.
