INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Safety information

The safety of this appliance complies with recognised
engineering practice and the appliance safety laws. In
addition, as manufacturers, we are prompted to
acquaint you with the following safety information.
Electrical safety
The new appliance is only to be installed and con-
nected by a certified installer.
3
Please comply with this instruction. In the
event of non-compliance, your claims under
the warranty lapse if damage should result
from this.
Repairs to the appliance are only to be carried out
by certified experts. Serious damage can occur
through inexpert repairs. For repairs, contact our
customer support centre or your specialist dealer.
In the event of faults occurring on the appliance,
fractures, fissures or cracks:
– switch the appliance off,
– trip the appliance circuit breaker or remove the
fuse.
Child safety
When you are cooking or roasting, the appliance and
the wok pan become hot and there is a risk of injury
through the spraying of hot fat. In principle therefore,
keep young children clear of the cooking area.
Safety during use
This appliance may only be used for normal
household boiling, roasting and grilling of food.
Due to the induction heating process, the wok pan
heats up much faster than you will be accustomed
to with other cooking appliances. Risk of burns.
4
Only (rounded base) wok pans specially intended
for this appliance may be used.
The glass-ceramic cuvette is warmed up by the
heat of the wok pan. To avoid burns, do not touch
the cuvette.
Caution when connecting electrical appliances to
nearby power sockets. Connector leads are not to
come into contact with the hot appliance or hot
wok pan.
Overheated fats and oils ignite quickly. Watch the
cooking process constantly when preparing food
in fat or oil.
Switch the appliance off after each use and when
removing the wok pan for a long period of time.
This ensures that the appliance must be intention-
ally switched on again with the touch controls and
you avoid any inadvertent automatic heating up as
soon as a wok pan is placed in/on the cuvette.
No paper, card, cloth etc. is to be placed between
the glass-ceramic cuvette and the wok pan as this
could result in a fire.
A flow of cooling air must be continuously supplied
to the cooking appliance and extracted. Do not
close off the air inlet (in the base unit underneath
the appliance) and the air outlet (underneath the
working surface).
To avoid overheating the wok pan, never heat the
wok pan without food and unsupervised.
If fat or oil is added to the heated wok pan it will
ignite suddenly and you can sustain burns through
sprayed fat or oil.
