Safety functions

No switching function takes place if two or more
touch controls are activated simultaneously (e.g.
through inadvertently placing a dish on the touch
controls). After 10 minutes the complete electronics
system is switched off.
Exception: Switching off the cooking zone touching
the plus and minus touch controls simultaneously.
•
If a touch control is activated again after reaching
the highest level, the complete electronics system is
switched off after 10 seconds.
•
If one or more touch controls are activated for longer
than 10 seconds, the complete electronics system is
switched off.
•
No automatic restart takes place after a power fail-
ure. The control panel lock is no longer active.
•
The cooking level is automatically switched down or
off if the electronics system overheats (see „If some-
thing should go wrong" Page 16).
Frying with the wok
With its deep, rounded shape the wok is very suitable
for frying small quantities in a little fat or oil.

This induction cooking surface has – especially
at the Power-Level – very high power with a
fast reaction time. Watch the fat closely: it over-
heats very quickly. When it starts to smoke, it is
already too hot. Switch the cooking surface off
and leave the fat to cool.

A good method of estimating the frying temper-
ature is the wooden spoon test. Place the han-
dle of a wooden spoon in the hot fat. If small
bubbles rise, it is optimal for frying. If no bub-
bles are present, it is not yet hot enough.
Handling the wok
•
Exercise care when placing the wok pan in the
cuvette. With careless handling the grip can strike
the glass-ceramic surface and cause damage.
•
Do not shake the wok pan when it is in the cuvette.
This can scratch the glass-ceramic surface or it can
be damaged with the grip.
