Getting started
To replace the battery
Press the tab and slide the battery
compartment cover downwards. Remove the
battery compartment cover. Lift out the old
battery and disconnect it from the handset.
Follow the instructions on this page to install
and charge the new battery.
• If the handset will not be used for a long time, disconnect
and remove the battery to prevent possible leakage.
• Before replace the battery, if you have installed a handset
back image card, you need to remove the clear plastic cover
and the back image card first. (See the section To remove
the back image card on page 11.)

Charging the battery

After installing the battery, you might be able
to make and receive short calls. For best
performance, charge the handset for at least
16 hours before use. When not in use, place
the handset in the telephone base. See
the section Battery on page 40 for battery
operating times.

Battery status
Battery has no charge and
the handset cannot be
used.
