• Bluetooth wireless technology operates within a short range (about 30 feet). When using a cell phone with the VTech LS6245, it is best to place your cell phone between one and fifteen feet from the telephone base. When using a Bluetooth headset with the VTech LS6245, you are limited to the range of your headset (see the user's manual of your headset for more information).
Glossary of terms Below are some terms used in this user's manual to help you become familiar with using your Bluetooth devices and your new VTech LS6245 telephone system. Active devices A maximum of two paired devices (two cell phones, or one cell phone and one headset) on the active devices list can be connected to the telephone base, but only one cell phone or headset can be on a call at a time.

Make a Cell Call You can make cell calls using a handset or the telephone base. You can connect a maximum of two Bluetooth enabled cell phones to the telephone base, but only one cell phone can be used on a cell call at a time. If you only have one cell phone connected to the telephone base, it is automatically selected to make or answer cell calls.

REGISTRATION Your handset and base station is pre-registered. Up to five handsets can be registered to a single base station. If for some reason, the handset is not registered to the base station ("NOT REGISTERED" displays in the handset screen), register your handset according to the following procedures.
10. ANSWERING MACHINE The answering system can record and store up to 99 messages. You can set a desired recording time for messages. The total storage capacity for the announcements, messages and memos is approximately 25 minutes. The actual recording time depends on individual message characteristics.
10.2 Announcement This is the message your callers hearing on the answering machine. There are two pre-recorded outgoing messages, or you can record your own. 10.2.1 Record your own announcement 1. Press MENU to select ANS. SYSTEM. 2. Press SELECT and to select ANS SYS SETUP 3.
10.2.3 Delete the recorded announcement You can delete the recorded announcement message to set the default announcement message back through your handset as below. 1.
