Assembly
1. Fit the rubber connection (A) on
the cylinder. Lubricate with silicone
spray or washing-up liquid so it
slides easily into the holes.
NOTE!
Do not lubricate the rubber
connection with oil as this can
cause the rubber to swell.
2. Fit the heat shield (B). Lubricate the
connection sleeves with silicone
spray or washing-up liquid so that
they slide into the rubber connec-
tion.
Check that the bush (C) and brass
sleeves (D) are seated correctly.

Check that the impulse channel (F)
is fully open.
Tighten the screws (E).

3. Fit the fuel hose (1) and both pres-
sure rods (2) and (3).
4. Place the carburettor in the air
fi lter cowling and located it with the
screws.

3. Fit the longer pressure rod (2) fi rst
on the carburettor followed by the
supply air valve.
4. Place the carburettor in the air fi lter
cover and connect the choke pres-
sure rod (3) to the lever arm on the
carburettor fi rst.
Then press it down into the groove
in the lever arm by the choke con-
trol.
Connect the fuel hose (1) to the
carburettor.
5. Insert the remaining fuel hose into
the tank.
6. Place the carburettor gasket in posi-
tion and tighten the carburettor with
the two screws.
7. Tighten the upper screw on the air
fi lter cowling in the heat guard.
Do not forget the washer under the
screw head.
8. Connect the throttle cable.
Assemble the remaining parts in the
reverse order as set out for dismantling.

Throttle

(model Lx, RJ, RJx)
Remove the fi ve screws holding to-
gether the throttle halves.
Carefully swing away the right throttle
half and note how the diff erent parts are
fi tted.
