Crankshaft and crankcase
Assemble the piston.
Attach the fl ywheel.

Assemble the cylinder.

Full engine assembly sequence
1. Crankshaft with attached piston in
the crankcase.
2. Flywheel on the crankshaft.
3. Drive cup on the crankshaft.
4. Centrifugal clutch on the fl ywheel.
5. Cylinder.

6. Ignition module, air gap adjustment.
7. Carburettor distancer/heat shield
against the cylinder. Lubricate the
connections with oil. Tighten the two
lower screws.
8. Muffl er with gasket.
9. Carburettor complete with air fi lter
holder and fi tted pressure rods, con-
nected fuel hoses and attached fuel
tank (Also refer to the "Fuel system"
chapter).
10. Fit the clutch cover and check that
the rubber sleeves are correctly fi t to
the fuel tank and that the ignition ca-
ble is inserted in the cable channel.
Assemble the piston on the connecting
rod.
Check that the piston is turned so the
arrow points towards the exhaust port.
Make sure that the gudgeon pin circlips
are seated correctly in the slots.
Attach the fl ywheel.
Assemble the cylinder.
Position the cylinder base gasket.
Lubricate the piston and piston rings
with a few drops of oil.
Use the piston ring compressor and
carefully slide the cylinder into position.
Tighten the four screws, crosswise.
Assemble the remaining parts in the
reverse order as set out for dismantling.

11. Put the cylinder cover in place.
12. Starter. Do not lose the rubber bush-
ings fi tted between the starter and
the fuel tank.
Make sure the fuel hoses are
pressed in as far as possible in the
fuel tank to avoid twists in the hoses
to prevent fuel stoppages.
13. The protective cover under the en-
gine, the protective cover above the
muffl er, the air fi lter (oiled), the air
fi lter cover and the spark plug.
