6. Printer

This is the setting of the printer type.
Model NX-700B does not have a printer. To connect a printer, select a printer to meet
the following specifications. The printer should be prepared by a user.
- Serial printer
- Communication format: 9600 bps, Data-8 bit, non parity, 1 stop-bit
- XON/XOFF flow control
- 32 characters/line (More characters than this may be printed.)
NX-700A
Select "NX-700A" for the NX-700A incorporating a printer.
In this setting, the font pattern of "Zero with slash" and an external character
enable command are sent to the printer in the following cases. (It is because "0
(Zero)" and "O" cannot be distinguished in the standard setting of the printer
µTP-58E-FU.)
- When the power is turned on after "NX-700A" is selected, and
- When the setting is changed to "NX-700A"
Upright
When the NX-700B is connected to a printer on which paper is extended upward,
select "Upright".
Upright printing is performed. In the upright printing, printing starts from ZCZC
on the first line and ends with NNNN on the last line of a message.
Inverted
When the NX-700B is connected to a printer on which paper is extended
downward, select "Inverted".
Inverted printing is performed. In the inverted printing, printing start from NNNN
on the last line and ends with ZCZC on the first line of a message.
None
When the NX-700B is not connected to a printer, select "None" to disable printing
operation.
