    1. INTRODUCTION The HDMI EDID Emulator is designed to manipulate the HDMI/DVI EDID information to be provided to source device for it to know capabilities of the connected display equipment and output the Video/Audio signal accordingly. Aiming to simplify the technical complications involved in Video/Audio system integration, home theater installation, Video/Audio equipment testing and experiment, the model provides selections of the Learning function to Read/Write the Video/Audio EDID to the system.

    6. OPERATION CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS 6.1 Front Panel 4 Learned Select HDMI IN 8 Default LED indicators 1~8: Each LED indicates each EDID selection when in Learned or Default mode. Press [Select] button to switch between 1 to 8 memories, the LED will illuminate accordingly to the selection.

    6.2 Rear Panel EDID HDMI OUT Bypass STATUS Emulator HDMI OUT: Connect to HDMI TV/display. USB: Connect Mini-USB cable to an active USB device to power the system. Or the device may also be triggered by an activate HDMI input source. EDID SET: Press to execute EDID Read/Write function.

    Red that means writing failed. If the STATUS LED did not blink and illuminate in Red it means TV's EDID is not writable. NOTE: Once overwrite is successfully done the original EDID will be erased. Please be caution when using this function. √...
  • Page 11 A Wizard dialogue will appear, click “Next” to continue the installation.
  • Page 12 Tick on “I accept …” to continue the installation. Insert the user or set the usage for this application and save it to a location where it desire. Then click on “Next” to continue.
  • Page 13 Click on “Install” to confirm the user name and save location. The installation will only be complete after clicking on “Finish”. An icon may be appear on the right bottom or on the desk to show a successfully installation of the application.
  • Page 14 Connect the HDMI EDID Emulator device and click on “Connect” or double click on the icon to start using the application. EDID Application includes EDID Learning, Reading, Writing and Default settings.
  • Page 15 Click on “File” to Save the Learned and Defualt EDID up to 8 sets each. Click on Learned/Default button to switch in between the mode. Click on Extended EDID with File’s Open.tex tosave the designed Learned EDID’s contents.
