Finger guard

The finger guard is a safety device that must be checked daily for proper functioning be-
fore startup.
Every time the rotary iron is switched on, check the function of the finger guard.
Activate the finger guard once while the  symbol is flashing.
If fingertips become trapped between the roller and the finger guard, the iron will be
stopped immediately and the heater plate disengaged. At the same time, the  symbol will
light up continuously. Press the  button to switch the iron back on.
The finger guard remains non-operational while the roller is running backward.
Do not use the finger guard intentionally to switch off the iron while it is operating.
Always switch off the iron by pressing the  button.
