Finger guard

The finger guard is a safety feature that must be checked daily for proper functioning be-
fore the machine is used.
 Risk of injury due to lack of finger guard function.
A malfunctioning finger guard function can lead to serious injury.
Shut down the flatwork ironer immediately.
Contact the Miele Customer Service Department without delay.
Ensure that the flatwork ironer is not put into operation by other persons and draw atten-
tion to the potential hazard.
The ironer will only switch to normal operating mode if the finger guard has been pulled
up slightly after switching on the ironer. Otherwise, the ironer will switch off again after a
short amount of time.
Pull the finger guard up slightly while the  symbol is flashing.
If fingertips become trapped between the roller and the finger guard, the ironer will be
stopped immediately and the heater plate disengaged. At the same time, the  symbol will
light up continuously. Press the  button to switch the ironer back on.
