Cause
Additional tripping in the case of asymmetry
The current has exceeded a limit.
The current has undershot a limit.
Additional tripping in the event of a current
fault limit overshoot or undershoot.
The ground-fault monitoring has responded.
An impermissibly high residual current is
flowing.
The supply voltage is below the permitted
value.
Fault in the fieldbus communication.
You will find further information in the manual
for the 3RW5 communication module in
question.
The process image output (PIQ) contains
invalid control bit combinations (e.g. control
bits for clockwise and counter-clockwise
rotation are set at the same time).
The module is not or is incorrectly
parameterized or parameterization changes
are denied in current operating mode.
Necessary startup data for the device are
missing.
Unrecoverable error detected after internal
diagnostics (self-test, contactor contacts,
switching element, etc.).
Real and configured slot of module is
different.
The motor connection variant was not
recognized or is different from configuration.
No current flow is detected after the motor
feeder is switched on. Possible causes:
Main circuit interrupted (fuse, circuit

breaker)
Motor contactor or contactor control is

defective
The parameter execution time is too short
•
No load
•
The main power monitoring detects a phase
failure.
The supply voltage is above the tolerance
limit.

Remedy

Check the application driven by the
motor.

Check the connecting cable of the
motor for damage.
Check the power supply (load rating,
voltage range).

Check and correct the process image
output (PIQ).
Correct and execute
•
parameterization.
Switch the operating mode and
•
repeat parameterization.
Check parameterization or startup data
records.
Replace the device.
Ensure consistency between plugged
and configured module.
Ensure correct connection.

Change the power supply.
Check bypasses for L1, L2 and L3 and
replace defective bypasses.
