DEV Customers

If you are running Digital Evidence Viewer (DEV) on a Windows PC, you have three
options to assign IP addresses to your BWX-100s (select one):
1) Configure the Dell PowerConnect Ethernet switch to automatically assign IP
2) Install and Configure a DHCP Server Windows application provided by L3

3) Configure the LAN port on your BWX-100 PC for DHCP, as described below.

If you're not sure which option to choose, let us know and we will help you with that
decision. To reach L3 Mobile Vision Support, call 1-800-336-8475 and select the
Service option, followed by Back Office.

Configuring the LAN port on your BWX-100 PC for DHCP

If you are a DEV customer who has only one BWX-100, use this procedure to
configure your PC's LAN port so that it will automatically assign an IP address to
the BWX-100.
NOTE: The following instructions represent Windows 7. If you have a different
version of Windows, this procedure may vary slightly.
1 Locate the Network Icon in the lower right corner of your Windows screen.
2 Right-click on the icon and select Open Network and Sharing Center from the
popup menu.
3 Go to the left side of your screen and select Change adapter settings.

switch and do not wish to purchase one, select option 2 or 3 instead.
