3.1.2 Patient Information Database function
Inputs or deletes the patient information already registered to the database by executing keyword
retrieval/list retrieval. (The patient information database can be shared with other CR Consoles via
the dedicated server or standalone for this CR Console, depending on user's own environments.)
(1) Input by keyword retrieval
Retrieves (inputs) patient information from the database using a one of the following items as a
keyword. Items to be used as keyword are those having the caret " | " for character input. When
inputting multiple items, only items with the caret " | " can be available as keyword.
<Items to be served as keyword>
• Patient ID
• Patient name
• Date of Birth
• Phone number
Input one of the items and select
be executed. If a Patient ID# is input as a keyword, retrieval is possible by pressing the Enter key.
To retrieve patient information by inputting part of a keyword
If the input string in each item does not agree with the registered string completely, the retrieval
processing is valid. Thus, by using this feature, a fuzzy retrieval can be executed.
(A fuzzy retrieval processing is not valid for Date of Birth.)
In case of using Patient ID for a fuzzy retrieval, inputting " * (for characters of any length)" or " %
(for a single character)" is required as a wildcard.
Examples > Input "123*" at the Patient ID box to retrieve all patients whose first three places of
Patient ID are "123".
> Input "JOHN" at the Patient's Name field to retrieve all patients named "JOHN".
(Sample of a fuzzy search performed by inputting "JOHN" in the Patient Name field)
When the hit patient information result is only one, it will be displayed automatically after the
completion of retrieval processing.
