Contacts

Contacts can be found in both a local and a central phonebook on the handset.
• The local phonebook contains locally stored contacts added by the user as well as contacts from the
company phonebook. The contacts from the company phonebook are managed remotely on the system
and cannot be added, edited, or removed by the user.
• The central phonebook is a search function containing contacts stored remotely on the system and is
shared by all handsets. You cannot add, edit, or remove contacts from the central phonebook.
If login is enabled on the handset, the user must log in to access the central phonebook.
Both phonebooks can be accessed from the Contacts app, or from the Phone app. This chapter describes
how to find, or add, contacts through the Contacts app. For instructions on how to use the Phone app to
search for contacts, see
