Before Starting Installation Tools, Pipe, and Fittings, Other Materials Channel Locks Teflon tape Drill and Bits General Hand Tools Additional tools may be required if modification to the plumbing is required. NOTE: The system MUST be vertical to work properly. DO NOT use this system with the tank in the horizontal positon. -

System Preparation Remove the carbon tank and tank head from the packaging. Remove the shipping cap from the carbon tank and install the tank head by placing the upper basket over the distributor tube and turning it clockwise until hand tight. BE SURE not to cross- thread the head in the tank. - Page 7 System Preparation Install the 1” x 1/2” reducing bushing in the “IN” port of the filter head. BE SURE to use Teflon tape on the threads. Make sure the fitting tightens in the head. If the fitting bottoms out, remove it and put more tape on the bushing. It should snug up before it bottoms in the port.

System Installation Mount the RO system on the wall using the proper wall fasteners. It is recommended that the system is mounted using wall studs. Sometimes a backing board is needed to secure the studs and the RO system. BE SURE to mount the system level. Install the fittings on the storage tank and quantum disinfection filter. -

System Startup Attached a temporary tube to the carbon filter “OUT” port and convey it to a drain. Slowly open the inlet water valve and allow the carbon tank to fill and rinse until the water runs clear. NOTE: A white plastic or Styrofoam cup can be used to check the water clarity.
