Installation

Selecting a location

Install the Truma iNet Box in a location that is protected from
moisture and humidity. This can be e.g. in a cabinet, central-
ly, and without shielding (metal) surfaces in the immediate
proximity.
Install the Truma iNet Box so that a safety clearance
of >20 cm from persons is maintained.
To ensure a stable Bluetooth connection to a
Truma LevelControl, it is recommended to install the
Truma iNet Box close to (outside) the gas box.
At the same time, due to the position of the installed antennae,
the connections should go upwards or downwards (secure the
box perpendicular on the wall).
The slot for the Mini-SIM, the connection for the external GSM
antenna, the internal / external GSM antenna changeover switch
and the button for the Bluetooth connection must remain
accessible.
– Download the Truma App and install it on the mobile device.
– Search for the position with the best reception for GSM and
Bluetooth. To do this, perform the following steps:
1. Make the Bluetooth connection with Truma iNet Box (see
"Setting up the Bluetooth connection" in the operating
instructions for the Truma iNet Box).
2.a GSM reception – Check in the Truma App whether
GSM reception is good in this position.
2.b Bluetooth reception – Go to important locations in the
vehicle and check whether there is Bluetooth reception.

Assembly

– Insert the GSM-capable Mini-SIM card before assembly (use a
suitable adapter in the case of Micro-SIM or Nano-SIM cards).
– Determine the position of the Truma iNet Box.
– Secure the Truma iNet Box with 4 suitable screws (supplied,
depending on the version).
– Lay the Truma iNet Box cables clear of the 230 V cables
(approx. 20 cm).
– The cables must have strain relief. This can be done using a
cable binder (supplied, depending on the version).
– Secure the coiled cables with a clearance of at least 20 cm
from the Truma iNet Box.

Connect the GSM antenna

The Truma iNet Box has an internal antenna. Connecting
an external GSM antenna is not normally necessary, and if
the wrong antenna is selected can result in worse reception.
The external GSM antenna must meet the specifications stated
in the operating instructions. The distance between the antenna
and persons must be at least 20 cm. If you require an external
antenna, please contact your Truma dealer / Truma Partner.
– Connect the GSM antenna to the Truma iNet Box.
– Push the internal / external changeover switch to external.
– Test the GSM reception via the Truma App.
