Further parameters

"Password protection" and "Hardware write protection" parameters
Using the two parameters "Password protection" and "Hardware write protection", you can
protect against write access to the device settings of the PAC3200T by means of a
password. The protection takes effect in case of the following actions:
● Load to device
● Reset maximum
● Reset minimum
● Reset counter
● Reset device
● Reset device to factory defaults
● Reset password
● Update firmware on the device
The password is only required when the "Password Protection" parameter is activated.
As soon as the password has been entered once for the device, it is not requested while the
device is connected to the SENTRON powerconfig configuration software.
Note
If you have forgotten the password, please contact Technical Assistance. You will receive a
new password from them.
The data can be read without any restrictions.

It is recommended to activate the hardware write protection on the device.

No write access is possible, even if password information is
used. In order to gain write access, the hardware write protec-
tion must be deactivated.
ON: Hardware write protection is activated
OFF: Hardware write protection is deactivated
The Power LED on the device flashes for 15 minutes. Pressing
the SW key on the device while the LED is flashing activates or
deactivates the protection function.
