9. The next parameter to appear will be "brine draw" (BD). This should be set to 40
minutes. The "up " and "down" arrows can be used to change this value. Once the
value is set, press the "extra cycle" button to hold the setting and move to the next
parameter.
10. The next parameter to appear will be "rapid rinse" (RR). This is factory set at 1 mi-
nute . This should not be changed unless a certified water specialist from US Water
Systems recommends another setting. The "up " and "down" arrows can be used to
change this value. Once the value is set, press the "extra cycle" button to hold the
setting and move to the next parameter.
11. The final parameter to appear will be "brine fill" (BF). This should be set to "OFF".
Once the value is set, press the "extra cycle" button to hold the setting and move
back to the time of day.
12. Set the clock to actual time where the system is installed. This can be done by
pressing and holding either the "up" or "down" button until the time begins to change.
The PM 12 hour cycle is represented by a "PM" that shows up next to the minute dig-
it of the time. If there is no "PM" next to the minute digit, the unit is in the "AM" 12
hour cycle. Once the time of day is at the actual time, press the "extra cycle" button
to hold the time. The unit programming is now complete.
It is very important that the unit goes through a complete regeneration process pri-
or to use. The system must regenerate to provide a pocket of air in the top of the
tank to treat the water. Without an initial regeneration there will be no oxidation
process available. If the unit has not be regenerated, do it now.
Press and hold the "extra cycle" button to initiate an immediate regeneration. DO NOT
use water until the regeneration is complete. The regeneration will take about 55
minutes. Let the regeneration run it's course. This will put an initial "pocket" of air in the
tank and prepare the unit for immediate treatment. The system will regenerate automati-
cally going forward. Once the initial regeneration is complete the system is online and
ready for use. If this initial regeneration was completed prior to programming, please dis-
regard. If not, regenerate the system now.
