Unpack Package and Check Contents
Unpack your switch and check the package contents to be sure you have received
all the items. See
Task 2
Install the Chassis
The switch is designed to be installed in a standard 19-inch equipment rack. If you
intend to install the switch in a rack, plan your rack installation and mount the
switch chassis in the rack. Be sure to take into account switch cooling requirements.
Caution:
The switch includes plug-in power supply and fan tray modules that are
installed into its chassis. All installed modules must have a matching airflow
direction. That is, all modules must have a front-to-back (F2B) airflow direction, or
all modules must have a back-to-front (B2F) airflow direction. The airflow direction
of PSU and fan tray modules is indicated by labels on the modules.
