Configuring BGP Nonstop Routing

Command or Action
Configuring BGP Nonstop Routing
BGP Nonstop Routing (BGP NSR) is enabled by default. The no nsr disable command can also be used to
turn BGP NSR back on if it has been disabled.

Disable BGP Nonstop Routing

Perform this task to disable BGP Nonstop Routing (NSR):

2. router bgp as-number
3. nsr disable
4. commit

If BGP Nonstop Routing (NSR) is disabled, use the following steps to turn BGP NSR back on using the

Purpose
• If no argument is specified, this command displays
information for all update groups (for the specified
address family).
• The performance-statistics keyword displays
performance statistics for an update group.
Purpose
Specifies the BGP AS number, and enters the BGP
configuration mode, for configuring BGP routing processes.
Disables BGP Nonstop routing.
