Setting a hot spare
1.
Install a hard disk drive to be used as a hot spare, and then turn on the server.
2. Run LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility.
3. On TOP Menu, choose Objects and then Physical Drive.
"Objects - PHYSICAL DRIVE SELECTION MENU" screen appears.
4. Move the cursor to the hard disk drive to be used as a hot spare, and then press <Enter> key.
5. Choose Make HotSpare.
6. When choosing Yes at the confirmation message, the indication of the hard disk drive specified as a hot
spare changes to "HOTSP".

Exit LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility
