Try out the sounds
■ Selecting patches while listening to phrases

(Patch Audition)

Without playing keyboards, you can audition the sounds using phrases that have
been pre-programmed to be suitable for the character of each patch.

Press [AUDITION].
The currently selected patch will begin sounding.
2.
Select patches as described in Selecting a patch by category (p. 20).
3.
Press [AUDITION] once again or press [EXIT] to stop the patch audition.

Selecting a rhythm set

The RS-50 provides rhythm sets that let you play different percussion instrument
sounds or special effects from each key.

Press [PATCH] so it is lit and you are in Patch mode.

Press [0] to select "RHYTHM & SFX."
3.
Use VALUE [-]/[+] to switch rhythm sets.
There are patches other than rhythm sets in the Rhythm & SFX category group.
Rhythm sets have "KIT," "MENU," or "GM2" in their names.

With [0] pressed, you can
turn [NUMERIC] on and
use the [0]–[9] buttons to
input a rhythm set number
directly. Press [ENTER] to
finalize the number (p. 43).
